Privacy Policy
How VoterCard handles the information you enter. In short: your search goes to ECI to find your record, and we don’t keep your voter details.

Summary: we don’t require an account, don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, don’t store voter records in a database, browser storage or application logs, and don’t sell or share your information for marketing.
1. Information you enter
To search, you enter either an EPIC number or personal details (name, relative’s name, age or date of birth, gender, state and, optionally, district and assembly constituency). You must confirm that you are searching for your own details.
2. How your search is processed
- CAPTCHA recognition happens in your browser. The recognition model is downloaded from our website and runs on your device. CAPTCHA images are not sent to a third-party solving service.
- Your search is sent to ECI. Our server forwards your search fields to the Election Commission of India’s public electoral-search service to retrieve your record. ECI’s handling of that information is governed by its own policies.
- Only the fields needed for the card are returned to your browser, such as name, EPIC number, constituency, part and serial number, and polling station.
3. What we store
- Voter records: not stored. Results exist only in your open browser tab and are cleared when you reload, select Clear, or after five minutes.
- Downloaded cards: created in your browser and saved only to your device.
- Rate limiting: to prevent abuse, our server briefly keeps a count of requests per IP address in memory, for about one minute.
- Error diagnostics: if ECI’s service returns a malformed response, we log technical details only (the service path, status code, content type and response size) — never your search details or results.
- Hosting logs: our hosting provider may process standard access logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) to operate and secure the service.
4. Cookies and tracking
VoterCard does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social media pixels. We do not use your browser’s local storage or session storage for voter details.
5. Mobile search and OTPs
Searching by mobile number takes you to ECI’s electoral-search website. We never ask for, receive or store OTPs.
6. Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. Please don’t include sensitive personal details unless they are needed.
7. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing. Information is shared only with ECI’s search service to perform your search, with our hosting provider to run the website, or where required by law.
8. Your choices
You can clear your results at any time, and you can use the official ECI websites instead of this one. Because we don’t keep voter records, there is usually nothing for us to delete. For questions about emails you sent us, contact us.
9. Children
VoterCard is intended for adults checking their own voter registration. It is not directed at children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
