Terms of Service
Please read these terms before using VoterCard. By using the website, you agree to them.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
VoterCard is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by the Election Commission of India or any government authority, and it does not provide official voter services.
1. The service
VoterCard lets you search ECI’s public electoral-search service for your own voter details, preview them, and download or print an information card. We also publish general guides about voter services.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Search only for your own voter details, or for someone who has asked you to help them.
- Not use the website for bulk lookups, scraping, profiling or building databases of voters.
- Not use automated tools to send requests, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures.
- Not present the information card as an official document, or alter it to look like one.
- Not use the website for any unlawful purpose.
3. Not an official document
The information card is a personal reference copy. It is not a voter ID card, e-EPIC or official voter information slip, and it cannot be used as identity proof or to vote. For an official e-EPIC, use the Voters’ Services Portal.
4. Accuracy and availability
Results come from ECI’s service, which may change, be unavailable or return incomplete information. Automatic CAPTCHA recognition can fail. We do not guarantee that a search will succeed or that results are complete, current or error-free. An empty result does not prove that a name is absent from the electoral roll. Always confirm important information on ECI Electoral Search.
5. Guides and articles
Our blog provides general information, not legal advice. Election rules, forms and accepted documents can change. Check official sources before acting.
6. Intellectual property
The website’s design, text and code are owned by VoterCard or used with permission. Voter data belongs to its respective sources. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners and are used only for identification. See our DMCA policy to report suspected infringement.
7. Third-party links
We link to official and third-party websites for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The website is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, VoterCard is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website — including reliance on search results, missed deadlines or problems at a polling station.
10. Changes and suspension
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website, and may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
